The 100 best novels written in English

Every week for the last two years, The Guardian has been publishing an entry of their 100 best novels written in English. The full list is now complete and has just been released. The list is arranged in chronological order and is restricted to one novel of each author deemed worthy of being included. It has been criticised because of the absence of many women writers, among other things.

Take a look at the list and see which you would read this year.

A similar list was published back in 2003 of the 100 best novels of all time, topped by none other than Don Quixote!
